PS4 / Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2

Konnichi-wa warriors,

As I am a big fan of Gundam I stumbled over MSG: Battle Operation 2
This is a free to play Mecha 3rd person shooter for PS4 and (now comes the hard part) by now only playable with an asian PSN account.
Creating one is very easy, but if you are not familar with Japanese then you will have a hard time. But hey, you can get great help on youtube on how to get the account and game up and running. Since the last patch you can have the written stuff in English (Bittching Betty will still scream in Japanese).

I am playing it for about two weeks now and I really like it. A nice reward system and constantly new maps, Mobile Suits, accessoirs for your pilot  and stuff.
There are some different game modes to chosse from and the the maps are big enough to do some tactical manuvers.

I personaly like the meele that is possible and the space maps are awesome. Fighting in space is a little bit different then fighting on the ground and there are type restrictions, so not all suits can fight on the ground and space.

You can pilot all the great Suits form the great factions: Zakus, Gelgoogs, RX-78s, Guncannons, and so on. Each differe in Level, Skills and Hardpoints and (possible) weapon loadout. Hardpoints can be fitted with Upgrades, weapons can be upgraded or new ones installed. So a lot of possibilities for customisation. And yes: you can change the colors of the suits...

You might think, why is he bringing this up again.

The answer is simple: GBO2 is coming to PC via Steam

Now, what is GBO2?
It is a third person Mobile Suit Shooter that you can play PvP. Either you play it solo or as clan/team. As of today the game is about 3,5 years evolved and has grown a lot. There are >200 Mobile Suits that can be played. You can get these either by buying them via ingame currency or via gotcha system. In rare cases you can buy a Mobile Suit as part of a package that can be bought with hard real cash.

The game is free to play. Hosting servers are in Oceana region so the ping is something to cope with as Europeans.

GBO2 is fun because they regularly throw free stuff at the community. There are daily challenges, special challenges, ranking challenges etc. When reaching a certain rank you can customise the MS by choosing different colours and patterns. Each MS comes in different point costs (100pts to 700pts), may have the option to choose from different weapons, and has different skill sets. Limited improvements can be installed to enhance skills, behaviour etc. Each MS may be also upgraded over time. Thist boosts the overall or individual skills.

I have been playing this shooter for >3 years and I like it. Also I am not that bad  . I have an A/B rating and completed as third in my group in the last division challenge. My favorite types that I play are Support type MS like the Gigan, Dom Barrage and Super Gundam but also Generals like the Zaku 2 FS, GM Dominance, Gundam Mk2 and Geara Zulu.

If you are interested and want to give it a try then poke me and I can give you some tips and advise. Also we can play together wich will help especially at the beginning, cause you get some usefull equipement and MS as rewards.
