Ryu no Sake

I participated in Shin-shu(Sake Nouveau) tasting event last week.
This is the Sake labeled "龍"(ryu) which I saw there.

臥龍梅 : Garyu-bai (It means "Plum tree which look like a crouching dragon".)

Also i've found in the past a very good page with different sake listed and their declarations if you need to heat them up or can drink them also at room temp aso. But i dont find it any more :oops:

If you purchase Dassai for the first time, I recommend "39" to you.

The good temperature to enjoy "39" is 5 degrees Celsius.
Taste this sake at this temperature first.

Ryu no Sake #2

黒龍（koku-ryu, It means "Black dragon"）

*Fresco from 黒龍神社 (Kokuryu shrine)

九頭龍(kuzu-ryu, It means "Nine heads dragon")

*九頭竜湖 (Lake Kuzuryu)

These are sakes of my hometown(Their brewers are located where it is believed that there are dragon.).
They receives high marks of appreciation in Japan.
If you travel to Japan and see these sake, please taste these. :ok:

Koku-ryu & kuzu-ryu has nothing to do with Black Dragon society(黒龍会:Kokuryu-kai). LOL
Of course, Neither does my hometown...

越前岬 シュタルクカイザー(Echizen-misaki Starkkaiser), 弥右衛門(Yauemon)


About 500 kinds of Sake were drunk at the event.
I drank too much and forgot to take pictures. :lol:

*"Nama-zake" means Japanese sake which is not pasteurized at all after production.

一本義(Ippongi,This is sake of my hometown), 八海山(Hakkaisan), 雪男(Yukiotoko: )


月の輪(Tuki no wa), 七賢(Sitiken), 山猪(Yamazisi, This is shochu(distilled beverage) exactly.)
